Being a Friday, I wanted to share something a little different with you today.
And for someone reading, it might be exactly what you’re looking for.
Even if it doesn’t apply to you, I can guarantee that you’ll know someone who will benefit from it.
You may recall that I briefly did a fitness related podcast late last year and into earlier this year.
Well, to be honest, I couldn’t get myself into it.
I wasn’t passionate enough about it to put the regular time and effort into it.
After all, fitness podcasts are a dime a dozen.
Don’t get me wrong, I still am passionate about doing the actual training side of things.
I realise that even more now after being on zoom for 7 weeks that I really do enjoy the face to face interaction with working with people.
But for the show I just couldn’t get into it.
So I pulled the pin.
Especially when I had an idea that had been sitting in the back of my head to do a podcast for dads who run a small business since the start of the year.
There’s plenty of business podcasts, and there’s plenty of dad or parenting ones.
But none where the two mash.
Cause they do.
If you’re a small business owner, chances are you got into it because it gave you a better opportunity for you and your family.
As a result I wanted to make it a casual chat between two blokes, like we’d have over a drink or a coffee, just hearing someone tell me about their life, their family and of course their business.
This is where Small Business Dads came into life and I started it when the whole lockdown thing started as I had a little bit of extra time to devote to it.
There’s currently 24 episodes now live that you can find in the link above, or on most podcast apps like Apple Podcasts, iHeart Radio, Stitcher, Castbox and of course Spotify.
So it covers you whether you’re android or apple.
And I’ve got another 5 in the bank ready to roll out over the next few weeks, plus the next month worth of bookings for another dozen guests.
All in all, it’s slowly building up and I’d love for you to have a listen and let me know what you think.
I’d also appreciate you passing it onto someone who you know that may benefit from listening to these awesome stories.
The dads that have been on have been really open with their stories, their struggles, but also their wins.
And they share some cool parenting tips and stories along the way too.
Like I mentioned, you can find it on your favourite podcast app, and if it’s not on yours, just let me know what it is and I’ll make sure it gets uploaded there too.
Here’s a link to the Spotify version to keep all android or apple users happy though.
Please give it a listen, and also rate, review and share with your friends who may benefit too.
Thanks for spreading the word.
Have a great weekend.
PS – if you, or someone you know would love to be a guest I’d love to have you on. The only criteria is you must be a dad and run a small business here in Australia.
Just let me know and we can lock in a time – I’ll even bump you up the guest list as a thank you for being a DPMer.
