As the old saying goes, with friends like these you don’t need enemies.

I saw a story last week about a vegan woman who called police because her friends fed her chicken nuggets when she was drunk.

They told her they were vegan not chicken or whatever vegans call a meat the purports to be chicken but isn’t.

She only realised the prank when she saw their social media posts making a joke of it when she sobered up the next morning.

So she called the cops.

Now her friends, or ex-friends, are being charged with food tampering.

Fun times.

Good to see police resources are being used wisely in whatever American town this was in.

At least they’re not shooting innocent African American kids I guess.

But back on point before I offend everyone from vegans to redneck Americans who think that’s okay.

You may be wondering what this has to do with health and fitness? 

Well, as you may be aware, I try and find a link to a story about pretty much anything cause if you look hard enough there is.

And todays lesson?

Be careful who you trust.

Not everything is as it’s made out to be.

Especially in this fitness field.

I’ve been around long enough to have been sucked in by different things over the years, but I have emerged wiser for the experience.

Like when I used to take a fruit and vegetable supplement which will remain nameless.

God knows the amount of money I wasted on that over the years when all I really had to do was eat more fruit and vegetables.

And it wasn’t cheap either.

But with age comes experience.

So don’t feel bad if you’ve ever fell for something like this before, cause it happens more than people like to admit.
