Just to prove I’m exactly the same as you are,

with the same vices and struggles,

and that I don’t sit here on my high horse judging you,

I want to share this story with you.

You ever had one of those days where nothing seems to go right?

Where you just want to pack it in and move to a deserted island?

Who am I kidding.

I know you have.

The other day was one of those for me.

And I ended up losing my sh!t over something that was really stupid in hindsight.

But it just did my head in.

A stupid printer problem.

Hardly the biggest problem in the world,

but I wanted to throw the stupid thing through the wall cause of a malfunction that wasted my afternoon trying to fix instead of just walking away.

When it should have been a 5 minute job to print out what I needed.

But there you go.

It happened.

And I ended up seeking solace in a couple of wines over dinner to ‘destress’.

Once again, that happened.

Not what I exactly had planned but I just said stuff it and poured a very generous serve.

And other one.

Like I said, it is what it is.

And I only shared this with you to prove that things don’t have to be perfect.

Sometimes you just have a bad day.

And end up seeking solace in a wine or two.

Well for me, that’s my vice.

Yours might be chocolate or whatever.

When it happens there’s two ways we can deal with it.

Beat yourself up and say how you failed on your plan and it’s all a waste and that you’ll never be able to stick to it.

Or, you can see it for what it was, releasing the pressure valve.

Then move on.

In the scheme of things if it helps with your sanity, run with it.

Not exactly ‘personal trainer talk’ is it?

But hey, like I always say, I’m not exactly like most other trainers out there.

That could be good or bad depending on where you sit.

I’m a realist though.

And I get what you’re going through.

So if you want to be a part of an environment like that,

where you won’t be judged cause of those bad days.
