Following on from my message yesterday about shifting gears, I’m going to give you an option for something that you might want to consider.

If you’ve ever heard of any type of athlete training preparation, you may be familiar with the two a day concept.

And if you haven’t heard of it, basically it means when they want to ramp things up in preseason training, they step things up to two sessions a day split up with a break in between.

So today I’m thinking this might be something that you might want to consider as a post Easter option for a couple of weeks.

Now before you scoff at the thought and hit delete on this message, please hear me out.

I’m not necessarily talking about two workouts in a day.

If your body can tolerate that, go for it.

And if you have the time available of course (which most of us don’t these days).

I remember back in my 20’s I used to do a cardio session and a resistance session in the same day.

After all, I had all the time in the world. Single. No kids. Life was easy.

But the concept I’m proposing today is a little different.

I’m thinking it might mean adding in a walk on top of your workout.

And if time is a premium, it might be while you’re on a zoom meeting that you don’t need to really be present for.

Plug the headphones in and walk while you listen.

Maybe it’s visiting the coffee shop that’s a little further than your regular.

Maybe it’s a bit of gardening action.

Get the picture?

Just thought I’d throw that idea out there if Easter kicked your butt and you need to step things up.

And of course if I can help you with any of it, or you know someone who might benefit, please let me know.
