Today is Emily’s 4th birthday, so you’ll have to excuse the off topic post.

Pretty hard to believe that it was that long ago that my world changed forever.

In the best way of course.

Cause right now I couldn’t imagine anything else.

Sure some moments you’d sometimes prefer banging your head against a wall,

then deal with the tantrums of a three-nager (like we all do),

but 99.9% of the time I think I’ve got it pretty damn good.

So I’m very grateful today.

Grateful that I’ve had four years with her cause it was a tough road to get to the day she was finally born.

That alone makes you more appreciative.

It also gives me better perspective cause I can understand how you feel too.

And the struggles you have to overcome just to make it to training each week.

Or take the plunge and start something new.

So you’ll have to forgive me if I break the DPM food plan today to enjoy pizza out tonight with the fam,

cause after all, what’s the point of all of this if we can’t enjoy these moments.

I’ll even enjoy a red or two.

But back on track tomorrow.

And back to normal posting and not self reflection!

I’m off to enjoy her opening her presents.

Cheers,
Daniel
