Like I’ve acknowledged before, I don’t necessarily have the voice of an angel.
I’m well aware of that.
But I do know a thing or two about this fitness game.
After 13.5 years of running DPM, and being involved overall since 2000 you’d hope so right?
Hard to believe that in October it’s 19 years since I got my first industry job in a hotel gym.
So with that qualifier in mind, I want to run something past you today:
If I was to run a short weekly podcast aimed at busy parents that’ll have practical tips and resource ideas that you can plug in and play straight away,
would that be something you’d be interested in?
Like I’ve mentioned here previously, I’m a massive fan of podcasts these days,
and if you put my podcast on at x2 speed it might make me sound almost bearable?!
My thinking is it may be of benefit.
Especially if you like these blogs but don’t always get time to read them.
It’ll be a similar type of content.
Occasional workout tips, food tips, products I find useful and whatever related thing of interest that will either help you lose a few kgs, or help deal with the stress of having a family and trying to find time for yourself.
From someone who is in the trenches and understands what it’s like to have a couple of kids to deal with, as well as run a business and be present in their lives.
So hit reply and tell me whether this would be something you’d be interested in.
Keeping with the theme in my Short ‘N Sweet book, the podcast would be short. Around that 20 mins time limit max.
And once a week.
Initially it would just be me, but if it got some interest, I’d then approach a few guests who I think would be able to contribute.
The thinking for me would be to do the podcast and upload it to iTunes and also YouTube for a double reach potential.
I’m a a big boy, so wouldn’t be offended if you aren’t interested, but if you’re thinking yes, please let me know.
Obviously if you’re reading this and you don’t have kids, you wouldn’t be brushed.
You’re obviously still reading this for a reason and you’d still be able to find some takeaways in your life too, like you already currently do.
But as I know what it’s like to combine parents and fitness – and considering it’s better to specialise in something rather than trying to be a jack of all trades, that’d be my angle.
