Well, strike one up for the old blokes.

With Tom Brady winning his 7th Super Bowl yesterday, which in itself is pretty amazing, out of 10 attempts he’s definitely putting it out there that age doesn’t matter.

Add that in to the way that he did it absolutely giving it to last years winners.

And then add it that he’s doing all of that at 43 when everyone else his age is long done in most sporting codes.

In saying that though, it makes me wonder what I’ve done with my life, when a bloke my age is out there winning a Super Bowl in convincing fashion and I can’t even get out of bed without my body hurting.

Oh well.

But the moral of the story today is just cause we’re over 40 it doesn’t mean we have to put the cue in the rack.

We can still make something happen with whatever you want to get out of this year.

Although of course you can’t just sit around and wish for it.

I bet Tom worked his butt off for that ring cause even though he seems to be a bit of an ageless freak, I’m assuming he had to work harder for this one doing the little things that nobody (except those close to him) ever see.

The long hours training.

Doing all the little things that add up to the big things.

The same goes for you.

One little workout here.

Another there.

It adds up.

Same with the food and drink side of things. One alcohol free day can roll into another one. 

You get the point right?

The other thing that made that win happen was he didn’t do it all by himself.

The team effort – especially the defence to keep KC touchdown free, just goes to show you can’t do it all by yourself.

Once again, you can draw a parallel there to this fitness thing.

That’s where I can come in to help you.

Anyways, hopefully you get inspired by seeing an older athlete out there doing his thing still even if you’re not a sports fan – when most of his teammates were probably in nappies when he first made his debut 20 years ago.

And hopefully that inspires you to put in this week and make the most of the time you have.
