Yeah I’ll put my hand up.

I know I’m not the only one though.

Maybe you have a fondness for the ‘real thing’ too?

Nah, I’m not talking about the white powder that you’ll find in the bathrooms of the ivy of course.

Mine’s just as addictive though.

And destructive.

I’m talking about good ole coca cola.

Not that dodgy diet stuff either.

The full strength real deal for me.

Thought it was pretty cool by itself when I was a kid.

Then I found out many years ago it tastes even better with rum or a bourbon!

So let’s say it’s added a bit of fat to the waist line over the years.

Lucky that it’s not an everyday habit.

But I do know that when my intake goes up so does my waist.

You don’t exactly have to be a rocket scientist to work that out though.

And I do know that over the last few weeks mine has been higher than it has been for a while.

Contrary to the industry stereotype of personal trainers – I actually don’t live on protein shakes and tuna and spinach.

I’ve got more than a few weaknesses. Food and drink to start.

Yep, I’m human and struggle at times just like you.

So it’s time for me to draw a line in the sand.

Time to cut down on the soft drinks.

I rarely drink it with alcohol anymore so that’s a good start.

Just gotta cut down on those cokes on a weekend when you ‘get the craving’.

But this brings me to the take home point for today:

If you’re not happy with where things are sitting now on this Friday in the middle of January,

when we’re 19 days removed from your new years resolution promises,

something’s gotta change.

Take the step.

Have the guts to admit that things have been too good for too long and change is due.

Then actually come through and do something about it.

I’ve put my hand up.

What about you?

And if you need some help, or know someone who does, I’m here.

By the way, who was on your list of friends that you’re going to ask to come and check out DPM for 2 weeks as part of our VIP offer?

Register them here

And I’ll contact them and invite them along for 2 weeks – minus the hard sell.

If we’re not a good fit, we’ll both go our separate ways with no hard feelings.

If we click, then we can both take it from there.

Appreciate you spreading the DPM word

PS – I look forward to writing you a $200 dinner gift voucher like I have for 5 other DPMers over the last week.

You, and your friend, could be next?
