I came across this in an e-mail last week and I really liked it.
So today I’m going to run with it, albeit in a modified version to the way it originally appeared in my inbox.
Cause I don’t want to just plagiarise.
Back to that game.
It’s called “Let’s Make A Deal”.
Are you up for it?
The basis of the game is I’m going to ask a couple of questions that’ll help you decide what is most important to you.
With the end goal being the ability to lose those stubborn 3-5kg that you can’t seem to shift.
All without having to move to the outskirts of Byron Bay and live in a commune eating nothing but mung beans and getting by on free love.
What about now? Still up for it?
Then let’s go.
* First of all, let’s look at what you’re saying yes to now.
Is it wine with dinner every night?
Is it exercise?
Is it you time?
Is it too much of the stuff that you know your body doesn’t handle well.
Be that too much processed foods, too much carbs, whatever your body is sensitive to.
* Next step what are you saying no to right now?
It might be the temptation to avoid the wine or three with dinner each night and saving it just for weekends.
It might be saying no to exercise when your alarm goes off in the morning and you know you should get out of bed and join us.
Once you’ve got those sorted, let’s move on.
* Moving forward, what are you willing to say yes to
It might be something that you know that you need to do each day or each week to get you to those magical number (or clothes size) you have in your head.
* And finally, what are you willing to say no to.
Once again, the things that you know are setting you back.
Keep in mind with this, you don’t have to live like a Byron Bay hippy.
Just the excess that you know is holding you back.
So what do you think?
Is it a worthwhile exercise for you to take right now?
I’ve had a look at my things and I know what I need to work on.
It’s not always easy.
But at least I’m aware and can try putting my best foot forward.
And that’s all I ask of you if you’re playing along.
Not perfection cause we all know that isn’t going to happen.
This brings me to this point, if you do decide you need some help and accountability along the way, why not come and join DPM.
There’s a couple of places left for each of our morning small group programs,
