Got some nice feedback last week that I thought was worth sharing.

I’m not going to put a name to the person as I didn’t ask their permission, but what they said really made sense to me.

And it might for you too.

It also helped me realise that for the most part, I’m still on the right path.

“Am enjoying the sessions and like the flexibility to do what I can manage and not be badgered into over-training”.

That last bit to me is the key to what I think makes people keep coming to DPM.

You do what you can.

I’m not here to flog people.

I’d rather see you progress and improve from where you started – wherever that may be.

And as I can well attest to, we all have a few niggles or old injuries that we need to accomodate and work around meaning some things that work for most people, don’t necessarily work for you.

The older I get, the more I know I need to listen to my body so it means what I do can effect how I feel afterwards, so I have to be smart with my training – and I figure your body might be the same too.

Which means I’m more than happy to offer you a plan b – or plan c if that option doesn’t work either.

Now all of this doesn’t mean that things are always easy and you won’t be challenged.

Just like if things are too hard we scale things down – if it’s too easy, you can have an option or two to make things harder.

Once again, even in a group environment, it comes down to everyones individuality – and what works best for them.

So with that in mind, can I help you with anything like that when it comes to your training?

Maybe you know someone who this style of action would benefit?

Like I said, I’m not here to prove how tough I am and to make you spew in your workout.

There’s plenty of other places that’ll do that for you if that’s your thing.

And like I’ve always said, if you want someone to yell at you and blow a whistle, I figure you’ll join the army.

Until that day comes, I’m happy to keep you firing on the fitness side of things.

I’m always happy to have a chat to see how I can help you when it comes to your training. Just hit reply and let me know what you’re struggling with.

Cheers,
Daniel
