Now we both know that Hollywood isn’t exactly the place to look for people who have their feet planted firmly on the ground and with a good grip of reality.

Especially with all the stories coming out now.

Dodgy, dodgy world.

But keep on lecturing us on how we should behave when you get on your high horse though…

I digress.

But if you ever want an exhibit in someone who has lost all touch on reality,

I present you exhibit A:

Mariah Carey.

If you ever needed anymore proof that she is completely off with the fairies, her ‘celebrity diet’ tips are it.

Call me a cynic, but I reckon her whole old relationship with Jamie P was just a publicity stunt.

Boost her flagging career and get a few gigs at his casinos and he gets a bigger profile in the States where he wants to boost his casino and movie business.

But maybe I’m just a cynic and as Roxette said “It must’ve been love but it’s over now”.

Anyway, gee she’d be hard work,

even if she could sing you a sweet song to sleep.

The story I read came from her reality tv show.

That alone is a bit of an oxymoron in the same sentence – Mariah and reality.

Apparently her diet advice on this show was this:

“It’s really hard. My diet, you would hate it,” she said, before casually dropping this clanger:

“All you eat is Norwegian salmon and capers every day. That’s it. I’m actually serious.”

Ok then.

Rather her than me.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good old salmon on the barbie.

Washed down with a nice Chardonnay.

The sad thing is there would be thousands of women who’d see that and go “Yeah, I’ll try that too”.

Great if you’re a Norwegian fisherman.

Not so great if you want to survive in the real world and get to enjoy your food.

Especially at this time of year.

And this is the best thing that DPMers discover with the 3 Day Detox game plan,

apart from how easy it is to follow,

is that you don’t have to give up all your favourite foods just to get any results.

We ‘detox’ from processed foods for 3 days and focus on real food.

Stuff that will help you drop the extra kgs.

Even at this time of year when everyone else stacks it on.

Then give you a carb hit on day 4.

While allowing you to have your favourite foods (and even alcohol) on top of that.

Not bad hey?

And if you need help getting things on track before Christmas and ensuring you can get to Christmas,

and through the festivities that come before it,

I recommend getting out that old detox book and getting back into it.

Give it a run once a week leading up to, and even through Christmas if you choose.

What do you think?

PS – if you’re keen to give it a run and you’re not currently part of Team DPM, I’ll send you a copy and place you on the waiting list for when we start back on January 8.

All you have to do is to place a $50 deposit to guarantee your place.

Wednesday mornings at Lilyfield are already waiting list only,

So I’d advise acting quick – especially if you want in on Lilyfield.

Hit reply and I’ll send you more details.
