This one is a bit of a change to the normal story I like to share with you,
but I think you’ll get something out of this.
Today I want to share with you one of the success stories from our last 8 week Transformation Contest that wrapped up in December.
Now, I like to protect the privacy of our DPMers so I don’t share names or heads in photos.
But I can assure you what you’re reading, and seeing, is 100% genuine.
Before I share these with you, I don’t have another contest starting any time soon, so I’m not trying to get you all hot and bothered and signing up for the next one.
If you do like what you see though, we can work together on making something happen for you though – just let me know.
Over to our winner, who lost 10kg and some pretty amazing measurement differences
– 50cm total from our measured sites which in 8 weeks is pretty damn cool to see.
Here’s the answers they gave to my questions.
What did you get out of the last 8 weeks?
Wow – so I know I’m preaching to the converted, but what a difference paying attention to my diet really makes. I thought I generally ate fairly healthily – turns out not so much. The changes made are actually pretty simple, and very sustainable– this wasn’t a diet for 8 weeks, it’s a change to way I think about food and the way I should eat. And, once you are paying attention to what you are eating that desire for a glass of wine drops right away too!
Why do you think you didn’t get these results before?
100% honest – I was a bit afraid to try and also just lazy. It’s really easy not to do something. But truly once I got started and realised how easy it was and started to see results – it gives you the motivation to keep going.
What’s the biggest thing you used to struggle with that stopped you previously?
Fear and laziness made it okay to do nothing. Now I’ve started, its hard to see why I waited so long to try something. No one is ever going to say that I’m a natural athlete, but that doesn’t matter – I don’t need to be, you just need to get started. Also having the app that tracks your performance keeps you accountable to yourself if no one else.
I think I have set up good habits for myself now. It really doesn’t take that much time to pack breakfast and lunch every day, cooking at home instead of taking the easy option and ordering in. Doing exercise before and after work feels good now too – I can honestly say, what else are you going to do, sit down and watch tv – go for that walk, you will feel better, and that works.
Finally, what’s next?
Keep going, stick to the new way of eating, the increased levels of exercise, and don’t let the old excuses sneak back in – I don’t care how busy I am at work – I will plan out my week and make time for the things that will make me feel better.
Remember how nice it feels to get into clothes you haven’t for ages, picking up new styles, in smaller sizes, in shops that you never would have dared before, and to not be afraid of someone wanting to take a photo of you.
Read that last paragraph again if you have to.
That was pretty powerful.
And that’s the best part of doing what I do is to read and see stuff like that.
So well done to our winner.
This was pretty cool to see.
Another day I’ll share with you another one down the track, but I hope you were able to take something out of the success secrets shared.
Read them again if you have to – cause it really isn’t as hard as you think.
And the results are worth it as you’ll see below.
PS – if you aren’t able to get to one of our sessions in person, grab a copy of my book for only $20 and you’ll get the same workouts that we followed for this program (Month 1 and Month 2 in the book)
You won’t be disappointed.
