What a time to be alive…

The time that everyone gets offended by everything and anything.

The latest thing that’s got the do-gooders up in arms is a UK advertising campaign by Cancer Research UK,

and they’ve got into trouble by putting up billboards around the tube over there with a guessing game of sorts.

Underneath was written in a warning box like you get on the packets of smokes

“Guess what is the biggest preventable cause of cancer after smoking?”

I like it.

Blunt and too the point.

And I’d hazard a guess that it is doing what it should be doing.

Cue the snowflakes who want to complain on social media about body shaming and the like.

What a world we live in now…

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think it’s cool to call out someone cause of their body shape in general

BUT pointing out the obvious like this isn’t exactly body shaming.

It could in fact be life saving.

Is it time for warning labels like this to be common place on stuff like Maccas and KFC or even packets of chips and stuff at Coles?

But I don’t think it hurts to have something like this out there.

Just like smoking it won’t stop everyone,

but if the obvious is pointed out more frequently maybe it might have a chance of sinking in to the kids who aren’t getting a good education at home of what is a healthy example of eating should be.

You know the type, where kids get fast food every night cause their parents can’t be arsed.

Have it rammed down their throat cause they still have a chance for the penny to drop, long after their parents have lost that opportunity.

I hope this type of thing catches on over here.

Aim it at the kids who are impressionable and before the bad habits are too far ingrained.

But what would I know…

Just remember if you know anyone who can benefit from the DPM style of finding the balance between healthy eating and enjoying life and your favourite wines and pizzas and the like,

I appreciate you mentioning what we do to them.

And the benefit to both of you, until the end of June, is a $200 dinner gift card each once they’ve been a part of Team DPM for 6 months.

All the have to do is mention they heard about me from you and drop your name.
