If I asked you what was the one thing that made for addictive foods, what would your answer be? 

For me it’s whatever the thing is that makes you want to go back and back and back for more – even if you’re not hungry.

So something like salt in chips. Or sugar. Once you start you can’t stop.

Whatever your answer, there seems to be one thing that each of these foods have. And it’s not salt or sugar as such.

It’s an exact 2:1 ratio of carbs to fat content. Apparently everything good has this – milk chocolate, chips, ice cream, pizza and so on. But guess what the weird thing is?

Breast milk is that exact same make up so the article says. I guess that’s what makes babies want to go back for more.

The theory is that food gives us our first sense of reward and that sets us up for food cravings down the track. 

Interesting right? Hopefully that helps explain why you find yourself going to town on certain foods more than others. 

Especially at this time of year.
