Thanksgiving as a thing here is something that I’ve written about before. It’s the one American tradition that I wish we actually had here.
Sure a day off at this time of year would be good. Especially when you get to eat turkey and desserts.
But the meaning behind it of actually getting your family together and having a day to celebrate what you are grateful for is a good thing.
Just not as commercial as Halloween so I can assume that’s the only reason we don’t follow that trend here today cause there’s no money in it.
There is money in the whole Black Friday thing though as the retailers have seemed to catch on to over the last couple of years.
10 years ago we were in Hawaii for our Honeymoon and got to experience the whole Thanksgiving and Black Friday thing when the sales weren’t a thing here.
Now it’s everywhere.
And it’s not just for one day.
I’ve been to a couple of shopping centres this week and they’ve been advertising their sales all week.
Good time to buy some Christmas presents I guess.
All of this got me thinking what is it that actually makes something take off here when it’s popular in other parts of the world.
I guess it all comes down to $$$$
If someone can make some, then it’ll take off.
If not, then nope it’ll flop.
It is what it is.
So with all of this in mind, I won’t be running a Black Friday themed sale.
If you are looking for something, I’m more than happy to shout you 2 weeks on the house (or someone you may know if you’re already with us) to come and check us out.
Then we can take it from there after we see whether we’re a good fit for each other.
But if you are in the mood for spending money, grab a copy of my book for only $20
It’ll be great for you or for a Christmas present for someone on your list.
Technically I guess you can say it’s discounted cause it’s cheaper than you can buy it for elsewhere online – just go and search on Amazon or Book Depository and those other online retailers. Some of them are charging upwards of $30.
Grab it before 4pm today and I’ll pop it in the post for you this arvo and of course I’ll send you the download link to view the pdf before the hard copy arrives and also the video demos and pdf and excel downloads of the exercises.
