There’s been some cool happenings in this little group we’ve got going on with our current Transformation Contest.

Some of these lessons I’ve shared with you, and today there’s another one.

Probably one of the most important you’ll hear from me.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned in the last 13 years doing this DPM thing,

and 18 years total in the fitness industry overall,

is that everyone is their own harshest critic.

So despite all the good stuff you’ve achieved – results wise and progress wise with what you can do compared to when you started,

we still focus on the one or two little things that aren’t perfect or that are holding us back.

It’s human nature.

Which brings me to the big life lesson for today:

Don’t be too hard on yourself.

Remember where you’ve come from.

So celebrate your wins, and most importantly be kind to yourself.

Recognise the wins and the progress you’ve made and don’t beat yourself up when you have a backward step.

Fair enough?

Hope that little burst of motivation helps you today in your journey.

Have a good weekend.

PS – if you need some help with this, my book Short ‘N Sweet might be exactly what you’re looking for.

Apart from the 6 bodyweight workouts you’ll find inside, there’s also some articles to help you get on top of what’s going on upstairs as well as success stories from other busy parents who’ve walked the path you’re on.
