Perfect world situation we’d all get enough sleep yeah?

But reality world situation, we both know that’s a laugh.

There are a few things though that may help you get out of bed when that alarm clock goes off.

And we both know, that getting your workout in first thing in the morning before the kids are up is the best time to do it.

Well, to be honest, the best time is whenever you WILL actually do it.

But for mine, first thing in the morning is pretty hard to beat.

That way it’s done for the day.

So let’s say we agree with that.

How can you make sure you actually get up when that damn alarm goes off?

Especially when it’s still dark outside?

I’ve come across an article that may help you.

This is what they say:

1) Coffee

You’ve got a couple of options here- you could invest in one of those timer things that you set to go off at whatever time you are supposed to wake up.

You know the ones that you plug into the wall then your coffee machine?

That way your coffee is brewed when you wake up.

I know my brother in law swears by that even though I haven’t tried it.

2) Get all your gear ready the night before 

This is what I do – have my work clothes ready the night before cause it saves me precious time in the morning.

You can do this with your workout gear. Get it all set out and all you have to do is throw it on when you wake up and bam – go!

3) put your alarm on the other side of the room 

Although this is sure to piss your partner off if they don’t wake up the same time as you.

I won’t be trying that anytime soon…

4) Go to bed earlier

The obvious one – not always possible but could be doable if you don’t stay up to watch Married at First Sight

5) My favourite – have a place to be. 

It’s called accountability.

If you’re supposed to train with me or with a friend you don’t want to be letting that person down.

They’ll also check in on you when you don’t come when you say you will.
